Accompanied by a specialized guide, we will begin our trek through the ancient streets of Milan, where history and art intertwine. This tour offers a fascinating look into the city's glamorous past, while also taking us into the future, exploring magnificent urban projects of sustainability and innovation.
Milan, with a history dating back to around 400 years BC, has been a city known for its wealth and intellectuality over the centuries. Annexed to the Roman Empire around 200 years BC, the city experienced cycles of opulence and abundance, but also faced challenges and attempts at domination by different peoples, including the Celts, Goths, Lombards, Spanish, Austrians and French.
In addition to its history, Milan is famous for its industries and for having been home to illustrious residents, such as Leonardo da Vinci and Bramante. The Teatro Scala also played an important role in the city, with memorable shows by artists such as Verdi, Toscanini and Puccini. In recent years, Milan has risen to prominence as the fashion capital.
We will begin our journey in Scala Theater Square, exploring the historic bohemian neighborhood of Brera. In the past, this neighborhood was frequented by artists and intellectuals who met in bars and brothels. Although the brothels have disappeared, the bars remain a nighttime attraction, along with the luxury boutiques and renowned restaurants. The Brera Pinacoteca, one of Milan's richest museums, is also located here.
We will continue along Corso Como, a pedestrian-only street that is a popular meeting point for the middle and upper class. This area also attracts famous people linked to the world of fashion. Following Corso Garibaldi, we will arrive at Porta Nuova, the most modern neighborhood in Milan, characterized by its impressive skyscrapers. This area contrasts with the style of the old city and surprises us with innovative sustainability and architectural projects.
Prepare to be amazed at the wonders that Milan has to offer! 🏙️✨
